The books are simple board books aimed at young children. They are Baby Bopper books, and have clear realistic photographs with one word and photo per page. The items in the books are common and related to young children. The thick pages mean that your baby can learn to turn them and mouthing them is not an issue. There are suggestions in the handbook as to how to read to your baby.

*Please note- titles of books may vary in each InterActivity Box. It will be three of any of the following- animals, toys, colours, words.

There are two rubber ducks made by Sassy that you can use at bath time. They can be filled with water which squirts out of their mouth. Your baby can safely hold, suck, bite and chew on them.

The double CD set is by ABC kids. It includes all the nursery rhymes you used to sing when you were little. There are 200 songs, some you may already know the words to and others you can learn as you listen and sing along. The repetition and rhythm will keep your baby interested and you can use the included puppets that go with many of the songs.

The finger puppets are a frog, sheep, cow, chicken and pig. There is a list of songs that go with each puppet in the Handbook, or you can use them to tell stories. Your baby will love looking at them and listening to your voice.

The hand puppet is a rabbit. It is a soft, plush material with a friendly face. It is washable and safe for your baby to hold, touch and play with. It has a carrot on a string that fits into the rabbit's little pocket. The crinkly texture of the carrot makes it interesting for baby to play with. It can also be used with songs from the CDs or to tell stories or 'talk' to your baby with.

The InterActivity Box Handbook, which was written by myself, an experienced Early Childhood teacher and new mum, includes information on why interacting with your baby is so important and ways to use the toys and books in the InterActivity Box with your baby.

It lists all the songs on the CDs that can be used with each of the finger puppets and hand puppet and other ideas for play time with your baby.

It also has a list of recommended books for young children and helpful websites that include research on the importance of literacy and your role in your baby's learning.

*All items in the InterActivity Box intended for use by your baby (i.e. not the CDs, CD cover, bath ducks packaging, tags on the handpuppet or Handbook) are safe to use from birth but ALWAYS USE ALL THE TOYS UNDER CLOSE ADULT SUPERVISION. Remove contents tag, discard cellophane wrapping and shredded paper from box before use.
